Notes From the Suggestion Box

Around the Wedging Table regularly features some of the questions left in the studio’s suggestion box and the studio’s responses to those suggestions. This way the studio community will know what types of issues are of interest to the members and how those issues are addressed by staff or the board. Below are some recent items selected from the suggestion box and the corresponding response.

Staff comments: This is something we started working on at the end of last year but didn’t get completed. We will revisit it and put it on our list of things to do this Spring.

Staff comments: We have asked Sante to teach a Saturday Glaze Club and we’ve scheduled the first one for April 27. Email events@berkeleypottersstudio.org to sign up.

Staff comments:  Seconds sales are difficult for us since we don’t have enough room in our schedule to accommodate it currently. We will discuss it and see if we can figure out a way for us to fit a seconds sale into the future schedule.

Staff comments: Thank you for this note. As you are aware, dogs have not always been welcomed here at the Studio and we are glad that this has changed since the pandemic. But there are limits. We will ask people to be considerate of others and please keep their dogs off the furniture, including wheels, tables, and chairs.

Staff comments: Sorry we have fallen away from this. We will get back on it immediately. Thanks for your note!

Staff comments: We are sorry you are experiencing frustration with our systems. We do our best to maintain the storage in all areas of the Studio, but we need to rely on people being considerate and respectful of others’ work. If you are finding the spaces downstairs or in the damp room crowded, please consider storing your work upstairs on the white Metro racks. There is plenty of space up there and you are less likely to experience people moving your work around.
