Beginning to Intermediate Wheel Throwing

Instructor: Leah Bowring

Wednesdays 6pm-9pm

In this class, students will learn the fundamental wheel-working skills used for shaping clay. For students with prior experience, this class will strengthen skills already learned. Students practice, using the potter's wheel, and begin throwing basic forms, such as cups, mugs and bowls. Intermediate students will refine forms as it pertains to their current skill level. They'll also learn how the firing process impacts the form and aesthetics of a ceramic piece, as well as how to use a variety of glazing techniques.

Our classes are very popular and usually full, with notification/waiting lists. A couple of weeks before the end of a class, the current students are given the chance to re-register. The number of students opting out determines how many spots become available to new students (typically on the waiting list).

If you apply to multiple waitlists, you will
be contacted multiple times.
